I went on the 7 days long Langtang valley trek. The experience was great from start to end, largely due to the amazing team : first, upon reaching out, I asked for information, and whether it would be possible to join a group, since I was travelling alone. Jayaram responded quickly, gave me all the information I needed, and I was able to join another hiker who travelled alone.

The trek started with a 5-6 hours jeep drive to the starting point. We also had the option to take a local bus, but this would make the drive much longer (about 9 hours), and the roads are in a very bad state, so I would definitely recommend taking the jeep.

We spent the the next 6 days with our guide, Som, and our Porter, Dipendra, both of whom where really great. Som spent a lot of time telling us stories about the area, and about Nepal in general, which largely enriched the experience. Upon arriving to the top, there are two reachable summits from Kyajin Gompa : Kyanjin Ri and Tserku Ri. Since the other hiker and I didn’t agree on the summit we wanted to ascend, we decided to split, and I made the ascent to Tserku Ri with our porter, Dipendra.

The only negative point was that due to wildfires in the area, the valley was clouded with smoke for most of the trek, which prevented from seeing the view. I would recommend asking about the wildfires when reaching out to Jayaram.

I traveled solo and did the 7-day Langtang trek. I wanted to join a group and got paired with another solo traveler, which worked out perfectly for us. Jayaram was really responsive and helpful in booking the trek and answering my questions.

Our guide was Som and he is the best. He is so patient, engaging, friendly, and kind hearted. Chatting with Som during the hikes and at the teahouses really made the trip that much better. Our porter was Dipendra who was also amazing. The entire team at Base Camp Hike was so kind and easy to work with. Thank you for the lovely trek and memories.

Early in March 2019, I did Annapurna Panorama Trek with my family. It was the best trip ever. Thank you for organizing our trekking to Nepal.
