Nagarkot to Changunarayan Hike is one of the short easy hiking near the Kathmandu Valley. Nagarkot is known for mountain view station whereas Chagunarayan is a centuries-old temple.

32 km east of Kathmandu, there is a village called Nagarkot. It is a well-known viewpoint near the Kathmandu Valley. It is one of the best viewpoints near the valley from where you can see Himalayas such as Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Rolwaling, Dorje Lakpa, and even the Everest.

Upon experiencing the panoramic view of mountains at Nagarkot, we will start our hiking to Changunarayan. One and half hours descending, we reach Telkot.

From Telkot, upon upward hiking around 45 minutes, we reach Trishul Danda(Lunch Place). After having Lunch at Trishul Danda, we will walk to Changu Narayan Village.( takes around 45 minutes).

Changunarayan

Changunarayan Temple is one of the UNESCO heritage Sites of Nepal. It is situated 12 km east of Kathmandu City. This temple has historical and remarkable structures. Changunarayan is known as the oldest Vishnu Temple of Nepal. You will find the temple decorated with beautiful carvings. Upon visiting Changunarayan, we will move towards Kathmandu by our Vehicle.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot, a popular hill station that is located at Bhaktapur district. Within 70-80 minutes drive from Kathmandu, we will reach Nagarkot Village. Maximum elevation of Nagarkot is 2,175 meters. It is well-known for viewpoint of sunrise from where visitors experience the panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. Nonetheless, it also features the best views of Shivapuri National Park and Kathmandu Valley.
