In fact, Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek is the second pass of Nepal’s Three Passes in Everest. This pass is probably the most frequently crossed by trekkers in the Everest Region. Behinds to popular this pass it connects the two most popular valleys which are Everest Base Camp and GOKYO VALLEY.
If you want to extend Everest Base Camp Trek, you can addon Cho La pass to see amazing Gokyo Valleys and continue trek to back Lukla.
Similarly, if you want to do Gokyo Lakes treks at first and at the same time you want to GO EVEREST BASE CAMP, at that situation you should do Chola Pass. After Chola Pass from Gokyo Side, you can go to Everest Base Camp Side. It’s often talked about in terms of its glacier crossing (which is also used to scare people out of attempting Cho La), but it’s not nearly as dramatic as people (who probably haven’t even been over Cho La) make it out to be.
Option 1: Everest Base Camp Trek with Cho La
Being Everest Base Camp Trek is most popular, you can combine this high pass with most popular EBC Trek. But keep in mind, from if EBC sides, it will be an anti-clock pass.
Option 2: Gokyo Valley Trek with Cho La
Upon exploring Gokyo Valley, you can go for a Himalayan pass which is known as Cho La. From the Gokyo side, it will be an anti-clockwise Chola pass.
