Best trekking experience I could have asked for!
Jayaram was a phenomenal guide and a massive help while helping us plan our trek! He helped us find the best trek for what we wanted to see & the time we had in Nepal and catered it specifically to us. On the trek, he was so attentive, helpful, flexible, and a joy to be around.
He got us the BEST rooms at the tea houses, organized seamless transportation, and gave us an honest and fair price. He even stayed on the trek with us for an extra day (and rearranged our transport/lodging) when we wanted to stay an extra day because we were loving it so much! We are a group of first timers from Singapore. We spoke to few other operators months before our treks and Jayaram, the owner of Base Camp hike surpassed others in terms of responses , services etc. Overall, it was a phenomenal experience, all made possible by the team led by founder Jayaram, who double his job as a mountain guide with assistant guide Man Bahadur Lama, 3 porters, Dipendra Guni, Bijaya Lama and Sujip Tamang. Everything was well planned and exceed our expectations in all areas. Base Camp hike is simply the best.
5* five day Ghorepani/Poon Hill hike
My husband and I are so lucky to have found Jayaram while looking for a guide for our 5 day Ghorepani/Poon Hill hike. Jayaram was super friendly and available from the moment we touched down in Kathmandu to the day we left Nepal. I was 4 months pregnant on this trip and Jayaram made sure that I was ok and comfortable the whole time. During our 5 day hike, everything was organized very well and we had a lot of flexibility to stop in a different village if we were too tired or to keep on hiking (to note though that it wasn’t a busy season). Navaraj, our porter who is training to become a guide, was also very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to spend 5 days with both of them.
After the trek, Jayaram also helped to organize our safari package in Chitwan, which was also an excellent experience.
We were sad to leave Nepal and when we come back to do base camp we’ll make sure to contact them again!
