I had an amazing experience with Base Camp Hike last November when I did the Three Passes Trek. Jayaram was incredibly responsive over WhatsApp despite the time difference between the US and Nepal. Ahead of the trek, he answered all the questions I had and ensured that I had the correct logistics arranged for a successful pre-trip arrival. I felt safe and looked after from the moment I stepped off the plane. Base Camp Hike offered a very affordable trekking package for my solo trek that included a guide, porter, transport to and from the trek, and tea house accommodations / meals. Jayaram also took special care to select a guide he trusted would provide a great experience.

My guide Ginesh was amazing and I could tell how much he loved the mountains and trekking. Incredibly knowledgeable and kind, he was patient with me as I tried to learn the names of the different mountains and about the local mountain culture. Ginesh tailored the trek to my fitness and health, which was essential to a successful trip. He provided amazing insights into everyday Nepalese culture and added a lot of perspective to my trek that I otherwise would not have gained. His longstanding connections to different tea house owners and other guides was impressive and made strangers feel like friends.

I would highly recommend Base Camp Hike for any adventure in Nepal. They operate with integrity and will ensure you feel looked after. When I return to Nepal for more trekking, I’ll definitely be reaching out to Jayaram again.

Things were great as soon as I began the trek. I could not imagine a better guide than Ginesh. He was very knowledgeable and could answer any question I had about the region’s culture and history. It was very clear to me that he takes pride in what he does and that he works to do the absolute best. I never had to worry about a thing – Ginesh did everything possible to ensure that I had a smooth and comfortable trek! We may have started the trek as guide and client, but I feel as though we finished it as friends!

If you are looking at trekking in any part of the Himalayas, I strongly suggest you use Base Camp Hike. With complete sincerity I can say that I have zero complaints. My experience with BCH was a wonderful one and I will never forget it!
