1. It is very crowded during Peak Season.
Though Mardi Himal Trek is a newly opened trekking trail in Annapurna Region, it is immensely getting tourists these days. Normally , expect winter time you can hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp for a better view as it higher(4500m) than other spot on Mardi Himal trek. You can’t hike Mardi Himal Base Camp at main winter time because there will be thick snow on the way. It is very risky to walk High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp if there is thick snow on the way. But if you walk up to viewpoints ( between High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp) you’ll see nearly same level of HIMALAYAN VIEW.
3. There are more than 5 option to start and End trek
There are 4 different places where you can start and finish Mardi Trek. Depends on your holidays you can choose this variation. They are:
- Kande(starts point) =>Siding( Ends point)
- Landruk(starts point) => Siding(Ends Points)
- Dhampus Phedi => Siding or Lumre
- Kande => Kalimati
- Siding =>Mardi Himal Base Camp=> Siding(shortest version)
4. Trekking to Mardi Himal is Easy Walk
Trekking to Mardi Himal Base Camp is an easy walk because maximum elevation for accommodation is 3660m( HIGH CAMP ). And each 2-3 hours walk you’ll get teahouse where you can stay and eat. Even if you can’t walk more than 3 hour walk a day, you can do MARDI HIMAL HIKING.
Thus in terms of altitude and lodge avalivity , it is an easy trek which is best for BEGINNGERS TREKKERS.
5. It’s short day trek but you can make long too
As we can do Mardi Himal Trek around 5 days, we can say it is short trek. Moreover if you are in Pokhara , you can make this trek also in 3 days.
If you have a dream to explore only Mardi Himal route you can accomplish it less than weeks depending on route variation.
But if you want to do trekking of two weeks or more than it, including Mardi HImal that’s possible. Because there a lots of side route which you can do same permit in the Annapurna region.
Then and now, trekkers are doing Mardi HImal Trek including Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. You can combine Mardi Trek with Annapurna Panorama Trekking ( GHOREPANI POON HILL TREK).

The name Badal Danda is one the best view point among the trekking to Mardi Himal base camp trek.
Literally Badal Danda is n epali translated word of Cloud Ridge. From that ridge, we can see clouds below than Badal Danda.
From Badal Danda one can experience 360 views. Around 180 degree you will see mountains ranges whereas remaining 180 degree can see beautiful hills with diversified landscape. So it’s really worthwhile to make a Stop at Badal Danda.
8. You’ll see more Nepali tourists than internationals on this trail
Domestic tourists are significantly more than International

9. You can do this throughout the year expect Monsoon Season
Since Mardi Trek is a low-altitude trek, you can even do it in wintertime. But in the rainy season, it’s not recommended for Mardi Trek. Because most trails are lies inside the forests where you get troubles with Liches. Most trails are muddy so it will be slippery at Monsoon time. So expect monsoon season you can do Mardi Trekking. But March to April is the best time to do Mardi Trekking.
